Well, Geno, you are looking fine today, lets go kick ass!

And so the commission for :iconstriker2521: is finally done! This is of Claudia Diamant from the Zoids VS and Zoids Legacy, prepping a Geno Breaker in a hangar in the middle of nowhere.

This was quite the cool commission, as i do like Zoids a lot, and who doesn't? Huge animal robots with awesome guns blowing each other up appeals to me so much. However, i have to say, i am more of a Gojulas and Death Saurer guy, something about Godzilla-type zoids that bring out the child in me.

I do feel kinda sad that there are so few pictures of Claudia Diamant online. You would think with a costume like that, more artists would get to work on her!

Done in Macromedia Flash and best viewed in full view or download. Hope you enjoy the picture!

Well, first time writing a critique, here goes. As a Zoids fan, I definitely appreciate this. As you said in the description, there seems to be little to no fanart of Claudia Diamant on the internet. It's a shame because she's my favorite character in the series and I always disliked how she had no role in the anime. I think if they ever revive the series, they should add her since she already has a VA and lots of backstory.

Anyways, your art style is very unique and reminds me a lot of Zelda Wind Waker, especially the eyes and vibrant colors contrasting with the grey background. Claudia is drawn very faithfully to her official art without being "copied". Your proportions are exceptional given that Claudia is one of the few thick girls in anime, which I really appreciate. Her curves are on point!

The Geno Breaker itself is very recognizable due to its popularity in Chaotic Century/Guardian Force, and once again it's very well done due to the rigid, metallic look. I can't tell how "to scale" it is given that it could be further in the background. The whole scene is definitely reminiscent of Zoids Battle Legends, in which Claudia is playable.

The only thing I think you could have done better is her face. It just seems a bit off-model to me. I like her smirk, but the rest doesn't jell as well with the entire drawing. But hey, that's just me. Lately I've been more partial to "realistic" styled faces like those seen in Fire Emblem or Vampire Hunter D, so maybe that affected my judgement a bit.

Overall, I think it's a well-done piece with good detail and that "Wind Waker-ish" style and gets extra points just for featuring a great obscure character in an already semi-obscure series. It portrays Claudia, an arguably attractive character, without oversexualizing her. Hope this helped and all that good stuff!
